SCADA+ ready for Aqua culture

We are excited to be part of the industry consortium developing sustainable value chain for offshore aquaculture, through our sister company Moreld Aqua.

The project was awarded NOK 96 million by the Norwegian government’s “Green Platform” initiative and was presented to the consortium by the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Iselin Nybø last week.

By this SCADA+ is formally launched to the Aqua industry, providing digitalization, and enabling autonomous operations towards effective and sustainable aquaculture.

We really look forward to taking part in this journey and to work together with this highly competent consortium

Information from Moreld Aqua:

Moreld Aqua to develop sustainable value chain for offshore aquaculture in cooperation with industry consortium

The project was awarded NOK 96 million by the Norwegian government’s “Green Platform” initiative and was presented to the consortium by the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry Iselin Nybø last week.

Moreld Aqua, part of the industrial group Moreld and 17 other world-leading aquaculture companies, suppliers and research institutions have joined forces to develop sustainable offshore aquaculture into a new Norwegian industrial adventure. The award, through the industry initiative “Green Platform”, announced yesterday by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Iselin Nybø, hopefully  marks the starting point for the development of a new, sustainable industry.

This major investment has an ambition to reduce environmental footprint and improve fish welfare through innovations within marine-based technology, biology, fish feed, electrification, digitalization, and logistics.
The aqua-culture industry is looking for new production areas as existing in-shore acreage is at capacity. Offshore looks to be the next frontier, hence achieving a green focus early will be a key success factor.

Moreld Aqua will develop and deliver solutions for sustainable aquaculture and sees this project as a major opportunity and stepping stone.
Moreld Aqua will contribute to digitalization and increased automization  of the aquaculture industry by developing and delivering their SCADA+ system platform. The task will be carried out in close collaboration with Origo Solutions, a sister company within Moreld.

We are looking forward to working together with this competent consortium.:
